Having graduated school a year earlier. Afini found himself enjoying the freedom and uncertainty of the gap year. While he laments being snatched away from his family there is a certain weight lifted not having to live up to the expectations of his former life.

Gryfin Hili

Nothing could please Gryfin more than finding himself in a new world with no rules and great power coursing through him. Now if he could just decide if he was a hero or villain the world could really start moving around him.

Ruvye & Selishia Hili

Unlike the rest of their family, the twins found themselves summoned to Kebulan hand in hand. Only momentarily saddened by the loss of their former lives the two set out to bring change and innovation to the new world around them.

The budding continent of Kebulan on the planet Quristy hosts 7 nations. There are five on land, one in the air, and another just under the ocean's surface. Just a few hundred years into civilization the peaceful nations find themselves in need of assistance from greater minds than they currently host.

Without being priggish or propagandizing the beauty of the world comes to life as a warm and welcoming backdrop to the adventures of the Hili family.

While the themes of the story are kept fairly light with the exception of fight scenes and general confrontation between characters regarding ideals and personal preference there are some tougher scenarios regarding family values, addiction and self doubt that boils down to deeply introspective conflict.

An American Isekai along the lines of Alice In Wonderlands, Babes in Toyland, or A Kid in King Arthur's Court. However that is only the surface where this modern day African American family deals with loss, familial expectations, understanding one's role in the bigger scheme of life along with quarrels among one another, personal desires, morality and ethics. Expect to delve into the human mind of what our world might be like IF we, on the brink of civilization, had made different choices regarding many aspects of the human experience.
